Welcome to everyone stopping by via the Ultimate Blog Party, if you don't know what I'm talking about, head on over there and get partying! This is my first blog party and I'm happy to be a part of it. In honor of this party, I put up a new 'springy' layout! I used kits that I downloaded from Shabby Princess, if you're into digital scrapbooking, go on over there for some cute free kits. Also, added a little bit of music, I think I might just keep it up for the party week.
Let me start out by telling everyone a little about myself, I'm a twenty-four year old stay at home mom. I've got two beautiful little devil children... I mean angel children, my oldest Sami is three years old and the youngest Lizzy is one, they're almost exactly two years apart in age (1 day between the birthdays). I'm expecting my third baby in September this year, I'm scared to death about it but also excited. Isn't most everyone like that though? please say yes, tell me I'm not just a crazy woman. My hubby works away from home, so I'm pretty much on my own dealing with the kids, it's been insanely stressful.
I love crafts! My favorite sites to look at on the web all have crafting and scrapbooking. I badly want to get started in scrapbooking and cardmaking, I've been procrastinating like crazy though, so much stuff laying around and I can't get my butt into gear to do anything. Someday soon I will though. I love cross-stitching, it's one thing that my grandma taught me that stuck!
Also, I enjoy reading. Over to the right, you'll see some books I've read and loved. Right now I'm working on reading The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory. It's a really good book and I want to see the movie, so I just have to read before I see it.
So, I use this site as a place to get my frustrations out or happiness, depends on the day I guess. Soon, whenever I get myself a digital camera, I'll start posting pictures of scrapbook pages, cards or whatever craft I decide to do, you know when my procrastination finally takes a hike.
All you partiers, leave me comment so I can visit you all!
Nice to meet you! Love your music radio!
ReplyDeleteHi Casey, Thanks for visiting my blog today. The top book is The Writing Diet by Julia Cameron. It's writing as opposed to eating. Since you're expecting (congrats!!) you won't be needing this for a bit. You would probaly enjoy her other book though called The Artist's Way.
ReplyDeletehey ru my long lost twin? card making, scrapbooking, reading, having babies lol!!! some say having 3 babies close together is called 'irish triplets'. me, i went for 4 - girls!!! great blog, and no, you're not mad!!!
ReplyDeleteHey Casey - thanks for viiting my party - love your cute layout and music!
ReplyDeleteAnd don't worry - 3 kids just means you've got a little more mommy-brain and you master the art of multitasking!!
Great Party!
Ok, we were made to be friends :) I love crafts, too, but love even more purchasing them on etsy! :) I also have two children (no bun in the over, though!) who are almost exactly 2 yrs apart, too! Their birthdays are 3 days apart. My husband's is in the same week, too, so it's a busy week around here come middle of October! Best of luck with the new baby. Fall is a fabulous fabulous time to have babies. I just found out one of my bff's is pg with her 2nd and is due around the same time. I'm bookmarking your blog -- love it! Hope you can visit me!
ReplyDeleteJust party hopping! I love the spring design. I also like to cross-stitch and I taught myself to crochet, but with a 2 and 4 year old, who has time to do that? I also enjoy reading. You should joing the Spring Reading Thing in March. I wrote a post about it on my blog. Sounds like you are going to be a very busy lady soon, if you aren't already. Come visit my blog!
ReplyDeleteI can so relate to you..I have 3 children, 10, 8, and 4, and my husband works lots of late hours, and weekends...so I am on my own alot of the time...I promise, 3 children aren't much more 'work' than 2...especially when they get a little older...my older 2 are pretty self sufficient...you will get there...happy partying....enjoyed your blog...I love to scrapbook too...
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog! You'll be ok with three. For me, going from 1 to 2 was harder than 2 to 3 because #1 & #2 were only 13 months apart. But I see your kids will all be close in age.
ReplyDeleteMy DH traveled for work and was in grad school at night during the first ones first three years. It was hard but you'll get through it.
HI! Thanks for stopping by my blog for the party!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, three kids will be a blessing! : ) They definitely get easier as they get older. My oldest two are boys - 21 months apart. They are each other's best playmates... even if they do argue sometimes. They have so much in common though. That's the great part of having kids close together.
Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy. Enjoy every moment! They grow up wayyyyy tooo fast! : )
Being really random myself, I was drawn to the title of your blog and had to check it out.
ReplyDeleteHi Casey! Nice to meet you! I also love reading and cross stitch, though I haven't done it in a while! I have just starting doing digital scrapbooking, which is a lot of fun! Stop by and say hello when you get a chance!
ReplyDeleteHey Casey, thanks so much for stopping by my party earlier! Good to have you. :-) You look like you have a lot of fun over here too.

ReplyDeleteHappy Blog Party!
Nice to meet you! I can't wait to read more of your blog. Sounds like we have lots in common...reading, cross-stitching, scrapbooking...
ReplyDeleteI have 2 girls and still in the thought process as to when a third should be added. I'm nervous to make the decision.
I'll definitely be back to read more.
congrats on number 3!
ReplyDeleteHi, and thanks for stopping by my blog party! I have had a really nice time at your party. Wow, so much to tell you...First, how wonderful that you get to stay home with your children! I stayed home with mine and know that it is the best thing you can do for your children, although some days I wish I had a desk job!
ReplyDeleteSecond...Yes, it is always scarey when you are going to have another child and you already have two, it's scarey if you have none...but, it will all fall into place like it has for the others! Try to remind yourself of that..
I must say you are one tough cookie taking care of the children with hubby gone alot!! So, When things get real tough take a deep breath and know that they are only going to be little for a very short time, "although some day's can feel like a year"... anyway it will get easyer as they get older, and you can always unload on your blog! right....lol
So onto cross-stitching, have you gone to the website/blog...sublinestitching.com, I think you will enjoy it. It is not cross stitching but close to it.
Books, I have read all of philippa Gregory's books they are wonderful so dont stop at The other Boleyn Girl keep going! Well, worth the time...
My daughter is your age, so it has been fun reading your blog and I will keep you in my prayers and check back by to see how you end up liking the Gregory books!
Have a wonderful day and remember God is mindful of your needs!
Wow! We do have a lot in common! I'm almost twenty four with a daughter your age (thanks for stopping at my site, btw!) but that is my only child so far. I can't wait for number two or three or four... :D

ReplyDeleteToday I am sharing a new thought.
Using jelly in teas instead of honey or sugar. Different, but lots of fun and good tasting. Will you join me in a cup of Rose tea? (Rose jelly and green tea or black if you prefer).
Just going to blog party to blog party enjoying the different sites.
