hanging lanterns

This wasn't on my to-craft list but it was something I wanted to do for some time now. The plan at first was to make those paper poofs with white tissue paper but I made an unexpected trip to Michaels last night and found these super cute paper lanterns in the dollar section. So, plans changed but I like the way it turned out. I made them to hang in the girls' room, trying to brighten the place up a bit. They are definitely cheery, made me smile to put them up in the room.

The super awesome Stephanie agreed to send me some cut out butterflies. I didn't want to buy the punch since this would probably be the only thing I make with the butterflies, those things are not cheap! Stephanie used some really great papers, they were way cuter than I could have expected. Thank you so much Stephanie!
