I really, really wish I knew how to make granny squares! I have a book on it's way to help me learn, so someday I will know how to make one. I just wish it was now. I'll just keep on drooling over the ones other people make for now.
By the way, the very second after I posted about my crafty slackerness, I pulled out my sock monkeys and am already finished one! No ears, I had tried sewing them on the machine forever ago, so I had one extra that I hand stitched, they turned out completely different. So, no ears. No big deal, it's still cute and super cuddly.

I want to know how to make granny squares too. I finally found a book that I'm convinced will do the trick, the instructions are brilliant! The cover isn't fantastic but the projects inside are lovely and I know I'll have success with this one. It's called First Crochet by Lesley Stanfield. It was recommended to me but I can't remember by whom. Take a look on Amazon.
ReplyDeletePS - Your sock monkey is very sweet, I love the colour of his eyes.
That sock monkey is just adorable!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your sock monkey! When making sock monkeys and creatures it is amazing to me the different character that a pair of socks will kind of inherently enable each creature with. Tone on tone purple, a great choice! and who needs ears anyway?
