knocked up

This book I loved! I knew I was going to love it, I read the book that comes after this one so many times. It's called Wiped! Life With a Pint-Sized Dictator, if you didn't already know. This one, just like the second, was funny the whole way through, I finished it in two days, I could not put it down. She talks about finding out about being pregnant and everything about her pregnancy, who knew that being pregnant could be so funny? I have to admit there was one part of the book that did annoy the living crap out of me, but I won't get into it, everyone has the right to make their own decisions. If you're looking for a funny, true story, go pick this one up, you will not regret it. Now, I just need to get my hands on her third book, Toddlers Gone Wild.

Tomorrow, I'll be posting the winner of my giveaway. If you haven't entered, go do it, you still have a few hours before I shut it down.

certain girls

Finished this one about a week ago. Another book by Jennifer Weiner and it was a pretty good one. It was the continuation of the book Good in Bed, 13 years later. There were two main characters, Cannie and her daughter Joy, the view points alternated between the two of them each chapter. I had a bit of a hard time getting into this book but after the first few chapters, it was hard to put down. I still really enjoyed the character of Cannie in this book but her daughter was hard to like until almost the end of the book. I think me not liking the Joy character was part of the reason I had such a rough time really getting into this read. It wouldn't be at the top of my recommended reading list but I wouldn't say never read it. If you like Jennifer Weiner's books, then you should go ahead a read it.

summer crafts

Go over to Brassy Apple to participate in the fun Crafty Summer Series. The first challenge has me completely stumped, at first when I read about it, I was buzzing with ideas. Then I went to start and I keep blanking. The challenge is to do something with a t-shirt; embellish it, cut it, re-purpose it, whatever. Maybe I'll come up with something by June 3rd, maybe not, but I can't wait to see what others come up with!

preschool grad

My oldest girl graduated from preschool yesterday! She's growing way too fast. When she was asked what she wanted to be when she grows up, she said a mommy, it was so adorable! At least she didn't say she wanted to be a pussycat doll like one of the other little girls.

I made a very last minute gift for Sam's teacher, I finally got around to using this idea. I love that her name is already Mrs. B. I hope she loves it, she was such an awesome teacher, Lizzy will be going there next year and she already loves her.

get in gear

Okay, so I think I have my three people for the pay it forward now. I'm glad there were a least a few people interested, I was thinking no one would actually sign up.

Before I get those PIF's out, I need to get my butt in gear working on my swap packages. Deadlines are approaching really fast! And before that I need to finish up a present for Sam's preschool teacher, it's really last minute, tomorrow is the graduation.

Be sure to come back later tonight or early tomorrow morning, I'll have a giveaway for the Giveaway Day posted. If your a sewer, you'll want to see what I have.

another swap & giveaway found

Hannah at Sherbet Blossom, also Sherbet Blossom Designs, is hosting a Spring Swap! You have to sign up before May 12th, so if you're interested, head on over there.

Also, I found a big giveaway this morning at Snug-n-Luv. There's a big list of prizes to be won.

One last giveaway I stumbled on this week is over at Design Mom, there's a great giveaway everyday this week.

As for Whatcha Wearing Wednesday, I got nothing for you. Next week I'll make the effort to wear something worth photographing. Right now I'm in my usual comfy clothes uniform, lulu capris and a yoga top, I'll have to change into some pants later to pick Sam up from preschool, it looks like rain is on it's way.

made it!

I made it through my etsy break in April! I made zero purchases, my favorites list continued to grow but I didn't actually purchase anything. I think I might try to continue my break through May, I still got mail from purchases made before the break so I think that may have been what made it easier.

I can't resist sharing one of my favorites that I recently added,

Check out these super fun dress up doll wall decals. How cute are they!? If I had an extra $100+ dollars laying around, I would definitely stop this break and get this for my daughters. The decals aren't made out of vinyl like all the other ones you find, the ones in this shop are made of fabric! And there's much more to find at the mae shop, go check it out!

found giveaway & swap

There's a giveaway for a really great ring over at Missie Krissie's. If you haven't been to her shop before, go, go now! I posted about a necklace that I want from there in my last post, but there's much more than just that necklace to get there!

Button Swap Logo

I also joined a button swap today, hopefully I can find some good buttons to swap. I know I have a few good ones in my somewhat small stash.
